To prevent intoxicated motorists from reaching public roads, authorities will test automated breath-testing exit barriers at a municipal parking facility in Hasselt later this year. Drivers must register a negative breath test to raise the barrier, while positive drivers will be directed to a buffer zone with public transit information.
