She converted two of three break points in the first set, compared to one of five for Bouzas Maneiro, and broke serve at 2-2 in the second set to seal the win.

In the second singles match, world number six Linda Noskova defeated 35th-ranked Cristina Bucsa 7-6(5), 6-2 in one hour and 31 minutes. Noskova took a 4-2 lead in the first set before Bucsa recovered the break when Noskova served for the set at 5-4. Bucsa led 4-2 in the tiebreak, but Noskova recovered to win the opening set. From 2-2 in the second set, Noskova won four consecutive games, breaking Bucsa twice and finishing the match with two love games.

Spanish elimination and Czech leadership

The defeat concluded Spain's run in their first semifinal appearance in the tournament since 2008, following a quarterfinal win against Kazakhstan. Spain, a five-time champion in the competition, had been seeking their first final in 18 years after suffering an elimination in the quarterfinals last year. Spanish captain Carla Suarez reflected on the team's progress after the tie.

The Czech squad, captained by former doubles world number one Barbora Strycova, entered the week as tournament favorites with four top-30 singles players and doubles world number one Katerina Siniakova. Strycova took charge of the team at the beginning of the year, having been part of the playing lineup during the Czech Republic's previous title run in 2018. She described the return to the final as captain as a surreal milestone.

“The last time we were in the final, in 2018, it was my last year as a player in the BJK Cup. It is a bit surreal.”

Noskova, this year's Wimbledon champion, expressed appreciation for Strycova's leadership after sealing the semifinal victory.

“We definitely want to make our captain proud. As she said, the last time we won it, she was on the team. It would be quite beautiful for all of us to have her part of the team and win it once again, just from a different position.”

Noskova added that her commitment to the national team remains constant regardless of the stage of the competition. The Czech Republic will face either Ukraine, featuring world number seven Elina Svitolina, or two-time defending champions Italy in the final on Sunday, 27 September.
