Amid intelligence reports of potential Iranian threats against Air Force One, Secret Service agents transported Donald Trump and Harp off the presidential aircraft in a catering truck, placing them onto a separate military transport. Harp joined Trump's personal operation in 2022, earning the nickname "the human printer" among staff for carrying a portable printer to provide Trump with paper clippings of flattering news coverage. Rise from cable news to inner circle

Harp completed economics studies at Christian-conservative institutions in 2015 before gaining national visibility during a 2019 Fox News broadcast. In that appearance, she credited Trump's Right to Try legislation with saving her life by granting access to experimental therapies for bone cancer, an assertion disputed by medical experts. Trump subsequently invited her on stage at a political gathering, praising her television presence. Harp addressed the Republican National Convention in 2020 and subsequently worked as an anchor for One America News, where she promoted Trump's claims regarding the 2020 presidential election.

Her close relationship with Trump has drawn commentary from her family. Her brother, Preston Harp, addressed her role in an interview with CNN.

White House reaction and political fallout

The White House has pushed back aggressively against inquiries regarding Harp's responsibilities. White House spokesperson Davis Ingle issued a formal defence of Harp while attacking Ossoff's legislative voting record on taxes and border enforcement.
