Portugal swelters under yellow heat warning as May heatwave grips Europe, temperatures to near 39°C
Almost all of mainland Portugal is under a yellow weather warning for extreme heat, with maximum temperatures forecast to reach 38-39°C in some regions and tropical nights expected.
