Valencia's 9 d'Octubre passes without incident beside a housing protest camp
Police presence rose to 1,700 agents as the Senyera was lowered at noon from Valencia's city hall balcony. Alicante and Castelló marked the regional day with folklore, music and a tribute to King Jaume I.
