Truckers' fuel price protests block roads in southern Italy, Rome meeting set for 27 October
Truckers, farmers and sailors protested fuel prices across southern Italy on 16 October, closing motorway exits in Salerno and leaving parts of Calabria short of petrol. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has called a meeting with haulage representatives for 27 October.
