Firefighting operations continued through the night and into Sunday morning, with ground and aerial crews still working to bring the blaze under control.
Evacuations via 112
Four successive alerts were sent through Greece's 112 emergency system on Saturday afternoon. The first, at 14:20, informed residents in the wider fire area. Eight minutes later, at 14:28, a second message ordered the evacuation of Klima, Pigi, Koukouras, and Nea Koukouras towards Pefkaki and Eupalio.

A third alert at 16:42 directed residents of Magoula to move towards Monastiraki, and a fourth at 17:07 called for the evacuation of Pefkaki and Eupalio towards Nafpaktos.

Firefighting response
Initial response involved 28 firefighters, one pedestrian team, seven vehicles, seven aircraft, and two helicopters. As the fire grew, forces were reinforced. By Saturday evening, 64 firefighters with two pedestrian teams of the 6th EMODE, 15 vehicles, eight aircraft, and three helicopters were operating at the scene, supported by water tankers and earth-moving machinery from the Municipality of Doridos. On Sunday morning, the aerial fleet had been reduced to three aircraft and one helicopter, while ground forces remained at 64 firefighters with two pedestrian teams and 15 vehicles. Throughout the incident, the National Coordination Centre for Operations and Crisis Management (ESKEDIK) received continuous drone imagery via thermal and optical cameras.
Damage and ongoing risk
Reports from the scene indicated that at least three houses sustained damage in the settlement of Klima. The fire risk for the area was rated very high (category 4) on Saturday and high (category 3) on Sunday. The Arson Crime Investigation Unit of Aetolia-Acarnania was mobilized to determine the cause of the fire.
