Poland's deputy minister sold micro-apartments to brother before steering short-term rental law
Ireneusz Raś, the deputy sports minister who drafted a law on short-term rentals, owned three micro-apartments in a Lodz building now operating as an aparthotel. He sold two to his brother, a priest, and transferred the third to his ex-wife three months before joining government in December 2023.
